Challenge 53

Wrapped around their little paw/ claw/ fin, etc!

We all know how it goes- you're busy doing something and suddenly become aware of a little face peeking at you, or pawing at your leg, demanding attention for something. If you're anything like us, you probably find it hard to resist!. Whether it is that sad eyed look, the incessant whining, the begging, the hard to resist cute face – show us a layout about your pet featuring the way they make you drop everything and do their bidding! How does your pet wrap you round their little paw, claw or other appendage! As an extra little challenge, we'd like you include some journalling on the page to tell your story.

Challenge 52

Going to the movies!

For this challenge our pets are taking their turn on the big screen! Is there a movie title that you feel describes your pet to a tee? Maybe they act like a character in a favourite film? Or, maybe there's a still or poster from a movie that's really caught your imagination? So, let us see your layouts with your pets in the starring role!

This week we are giving you something a little bit different. Rather than the usual 'theme' we are sharing some ideas on gifts to make for pet lovers (or indeed yourself). We can't wait to see what ideas you all come up with.

Challenge 50

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our previous challenge- we'll be back shortly with winners for the prize!

For this challenge we've decided to do something a bit different and make some animal themed cards. Dig out those stickers and dust off the stamps and show us your animal cards! It can be any animal you like, and if you have a corny pun to finish it off then even better! Or if you like, you can use your own pets photo as part of the card.
So, here are some examples from the DT and OWL be waiting to see what EWE come up with!

Katy
Shelly Shelly's explanation for this card!
I was absolutely inspired by a card I saw on the Dirty Shanks card website With Jailbird's permission (Lauri Royal) I have lifted her sentiment and created my own Dirty Shank
I will warn you, do not visit her site unless your tongue is planted firmly in cheek! It's NOT politically correct, but is SO much fun!

Challenge 49

It's that time again! - Time for a new True Friend challenge! This time we want you to use a quote on your page - it might be a touching or heartfelt quote - something that sums up your pets character or even something a bit more irreverent. Think about quotes from literature, famous people or even from films.

This time around the we are lucky to be sponsored by Papermania...

They kindly provided each of the team with one of the fab Dog or Cat kits to use for this challenge and are also offering one of each kits as prizes to two lucky participants!

So take a peek at the DT pages then link us to your pages for your chance to win! We'll announce the winners in two weeks time!

Challenge 48

Arty Pets!

For this challenge we want to see your pets as works of art! There are a range of software programmes available to us to alter photos nowadays, from Photoshop to Picasa. Along with standard functions like cropping and retouching, there are a number of nifty little gadgets you can use to create some crazy effects! So whether you want to Warhol your cats like Karen and Shelly, or make your dog into a comic book character like Katy, or even do it old school style and alter your photos using paints and inks, we'd love to see what you create! Alternatively, maybe your pet itself is handy (or should that be pawy or clawy!) with some paints and has made their own masterpiece!

If you don't have Photoshop there are a few free internet sites you can use such as http://www.picnik.com/ , picasa.google.com or http://www.paint.net/

Karen

Katy- used a comic book filter
Shelly- adjusted the hue and saturation using Picasa
Correna- used a photocopy filter in Photoshop
Lori- used a duo-tone effect in picnik
